I drew both bowser as a form his subordinates had turned to bowser by super leaf.
Similarly fake bowser on Super Mario 3D Land game.

It would make more sense if he only wore a suit instead of actually turning into a tanooki. Mario only wears a suit, he doesn't turn into a tanooki.

It would be WAY cooler if Mario actually turned into a tanooki, though. Most of his power-ups keep him in his boring human form, except for the Boo suit.
